What is a personal color analysis test?

Personal color analysis is the study of which colors harmonize with your skin, eyes and hair. The test identifies four dimensions — temperature (warm or cool), depth (light or dark), contrast and chroma — and crosses them to land on your season: a group of colors that lights up your face instead of washing it out.

TOP works with the 12-season wheel plus 3 border neutrals, for people who live on the seam between two seasons. The result isn't a label: it's a practical palette with real color names, recommended neutrals and even the accessory metal that flatters you.

    Take (or pick) photos in natural light

    No production needed: a face photo in daylight, no filters, does it. That's the raw material of the analysis — far better than answering "are your eyes light?" in a quiz.

    Temperature, depth, contrast and chroma are measured from the photo — the same path a color analyst takes, without relying on your self-perception.

Why not a 2-minute online quiz?

The internet is full of color quizzes that ask the color of your veins and hand you a verdict in five clicks. The problem: self-perception is unreliable — warm-toned people often see themselves as "pink-toned", and vice versa. The result: half of those quizzes are right by luck.

A serious analysis starts from evidence: a photo in controlled light, measurement of the four dimensions, and comparison between neighboring seasons. Frequently asked questions

Is TOP's color analysis test free?

The app is free to download on the App Store and the color test is part of it. You run the photo analysis inside TOP and the result comes out already applied to your digital wardrobe.

Do I need a professional photo for the test?

No. A face photo in natural light (near a window, daytime, no filters and no heavy makeup) is enough. The app guides you when taking or choosing the photo.

How long does the test take?

A few minutes: download the app, take the photo in decent light, get the analysis. The good part comes after — TOP uses your result every day to build outfits from your palette.

What if I land between two seasons?

It happens to a lot of people — that's why TOP has the 3 border neutrals (Light Neutral, Soft Neutral and Deep Neutral). If your temperature sits on the border, you get a palette that takes the best of both sides instead of being forced into a box.

Does the test work for every skin tone?

Yes. The four dimensions (temperature, depth, contrast and chroma) are measurable on any skin tone — the analysis doesn't depend on you being fair or deep, and the 15 seasons cover the whole spectrum.
